HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Volume Two: Cassi Namoda
For this chapter of Home For The Holidays, we’re welcomed into the world of artist Cassi Namoda, where the season unfolds through simple rituals and moments shared with loved ones. She embraces authenticity as her guide - finding creativity outdoors, in conversation, and in the small gestures that bring us closer to one another.
How does your personal style shift as the season becomes more festive?
I like to wear more festive colours and hats - recently I’ve been wearing more berets from Firenze in fun colours and shapes.
How have your holiday traditions evolved since becoming a mother / starting your own family?
For me, it's remained the same - classic things like hot chocolate, time in the mountains, by a cozy fire and a getaway to visit family in Mozambique.
How do you keep creativity alive during this time?
By connecting and being outdoors, I find this helps a lot. Calling friends I haven’t seen and just being more present with life itself.
Is there a corner of Biella that always feels like yours - somewhere you go when you need to feel grounded or inspired?
Ferrura cafe is my favourite for a hot chocolate with panna. It's such a classic and delicious treat this time of year.
You are incredibly worldly. How have your travels influenced the interiors around your home?
I like to have pieces of me that connect throughout my home. My time spent in different places and different points of my life tell a story.
If you could preserve one feeling from the holidays and carry it into the new year, what would it be?
Authenticity - I think it's important to do things your way - we can be creative with what we have and holidays can be a time for rest and respite.
